IT Support Specialist

Full-Time Position | Remote or In-Office (East Dundee, IL)

Position Summary

The primary responsibility of the IT Support Specialist is to provide IT support in the form of troubleshooting technical issues for our team and clients while crafting clear, informative, user-friendly resource tools. This position plays a key role in maintaining the functionality of our hardware and software enabling our team to serve clients effectively and efficiently. The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple projects while supporting team members and clients of all levels of technical skills.

Position Responsibilities

  • Technical Support
    • Diagnose and resolve a wide range of Staff and Clients issues related thardware, software, network connectivity,
    • and other technical areas.
    • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive and efficient resolution ttheir problems.
    • Effectively communicate with Staff and Clients through phone, email, or chat, guiding them through troubleshooting
    • steps with clear, concise instructions.
    • Document Staff and Clients interactions and technical resolutions tbuild a knowledge base and improve future
    • support experiences.
    • Escalate complex issues tsenior technicians when necessary.
    • Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and product updates tdeliver expert support.
  • Technical Documentation
    • Develop and maintain user manuals, knowledge base articles, and other technical documentation.
    • Ensure documentation is clear, concise, accurate, and easy tunderstand for users of varying technical skill levels.
    • Update documentation regularly treflect new features, bug fixes, and product updates.
    • Collaborate with technical teams tgather accurate and up-to-date information for documentation.
    • Utilize strong writing and editing skills tcreate professional and informative documentation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in IT or related technical field.
  • Bachelor’s degree, commensurate experience, or IT Certifications.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware and software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and easy-to-understand manner.
  • A customer-service oriented attitude with a commitment to resolving customer issues efficiently.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Experience with technical writing and documentation tools (preferred).
  • Excellent project management skills for managing multiple initiatives while meeting deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Relevant technical certifications are a plus.

  • Work remotely efficiently with minimalsupervision exercising independent judgment.
