Veritas Association Management seeks a Full Time Accounting Specialist to join our growing team. Founded in 2013, Veritas Association Management is an industry leader in medical association management and professional meeting execution. Position Summary

As the Accounting Specialist you will support Veritas Leadership in maintaining accurate bookkeeping of company financials. You will directly assist the CFO with daily tasks, reporting, and special projects, while also working closely with the Accounting Analysts to perform accurate processing for payables and receivables. The ideal candidate will possess a commitment to timeliness, accuracy, and teamwork. An eye for detail, professionalism, and excellent communication skills will all be keys to success in this role.

Accounting Specialist Responsibilities

  • Daily management of Veritas’ QuickBooks accounts
  • Manage all Veritas and specialty client A/P and A/R
  • Oversee company credit card account and client billback invoices
  • Perform weekly check runs for all Veritas and client payments
  • Handle incoming checks by mail to be deposited to the appropriate client accounts
  • Monthly reconciliation of Veritas’ bank and credit card accounts to general ledger accounts
  • Work independently to research, track, and resolve outstanding reconciliation issues
  • Compile monthly financial statements and specialty client reports
  • Achieve other objectives and performance targets established by the Leadership Team

  • Adept in analytical problem-solving skills with proficiency using Microsoft Excel to analyze data

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (5+ years of experience in lieu of degree, considered)
  • Must have at least 2 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is required
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel
  • Overall tech savvy skillset is a plus
