Veritas Association Management has been selected to provide association management services for the International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery (ISMICS), expanding Veritas’ portfolio of healthcare associations and professional medical societies.
ISMICS is a global professional society dedicated to advancing innovation, education, and research in minimally invasive cardiac and thoracic surgery. Founded in 1997, the organization brings together surgeons, researchers, trainees, and healthcare innovators from around the world with a shared goal: advancing surgical care and improving patient outcomes.
For Veritas, the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to helping healthcare associations strengthen their organizations while remaining focused on the missions they serve.
“ISMICS represents exactly the kind of organization we are passionate about partnering with,” said Sue O’Sullivan, president and CEO of Veritas Association Management. “Its members are advancing surgical techniques, technology and education that have a direct impact on the quality of patient care around the world.”
Supporting a Global Medical Society
ISMICS advances its mission through its Annual Scientific Meeting, educational programs, workshops, research initiatives, and Innovations, its official journal. Its international membership and leadership span North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and other regions.
As part of the new partnership, Lauren Antelo of Veritas will serve as executive director of ISMICS, working with the society’s leadership to support strategic priorities, strengthen operations, and create value for members and volunteer leaders.
The addition of ISMICS builds on Veritas’ deep experience providing association management services for healthcare associations and medical societies. Veritas supports organizations with strategic leadership, governance and accountability, educational programming, meeting management, member services, and operational infrastructure.
By managing the business of the association, Veritas helps volunteer leaders devote more attention to what matters most: advancing their organization’s mission and supporting the healthcare professionals working to improve medical care and patient outcomes.
