Industry Relations Account Manager
Full-Time Position | Remote or In-Office (East Dundee, IL)Veritas seeks an Account Manager to assist with the day-to-day responsibilities in the Industry Relations Department.
Position Summary
The primary responsibility of the Industry Relations Account Manager is to build strong relationships between commercial industry, practitioners in the field, and thought leaders which are crucial in hosting productive meetings that move medical specialty fields forward. The Industry Relations Account Manager will execute all fundraising and sponsorship efforts. Serving as the liaison between non-profit medical associations and corporate sponsors in the healthcare industry, you will play a critical role in achieving the exhibit and sponsorship sales growth objectives. Our Account Managers work year-round as part of a fast-paced, results driven, high performing team.
Position Responsibilities
The Industry Relations Account Manager will assist with generating revenue for our medical societies while providing exceptional value to both clients and partnering companies.
- Acts as the primary liaison between Sponsors and non-profit medical organizations.
- Creates custom partnership prospectus, highlighting promotional and sponsorship opportunities.
- Identifies and vet qualified sponsors, exhibitors, and Granters.
- Crafts exhibitor solicitations and secure of written commitments.
- Collaborates with colleagues to understand client objectives/strategic priorities to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Manages exhibitor / grant registration, and logistics.
- Maintains clear, up-to-date records, and detailed notes on sales activity.
- Manages Exhibit Hall logistics: Review regulations, plan layout, exhibitor assignments, sponsor needs, and provide on-site industry support. Ability to lift 25lbs and travel is required.
- Supports Hands on Labs: Coordinate Hands on Lab layout, Equipment needs & onsite support.
- Manages Grant Application Portals: Apply on behalf of Societies to maximize revenue.
- Provides Financial management/reporting of promotional support, exhibition activities, and post-event financials.
- Supports with the collection of both logos and attendee information from participating/supporting companies.
- Supports collection of important industry sponsorship information from partnering companies (Product Theater).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years sales, account management, sponsorship, fundraising sales, or inside sales experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally.
- Advanced ability in Microsoft Office suite of products: Outlook, Excel, Word, PPT, etc.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service by responding to queries, following up, or redirecting.
- Advanced ability to multitask balancing many projects while maintaining focus on sales goals.
- Understands directions and executes tasks independently meeting deadlines.
