Veritas Association Management seeks a highly motivated, well-organized, self-starter for the position of CME Program and Speaker Manager for its growing Education Program & Accreditation Department serving a variety of medical sub-specialty society clients.

Position Summary

The primary responsibility of the CME Program and Speaker Manager is to work with member volunteers to lead the development and execution of quality educational programming (activities), in a variety of formats including but not limited to, in-person meetings/courses, virtual meetings, webinars, blended learning, self-assessment products, and enduring educational activities. This position plays a key role in managing and delivering a growing education portfolio. The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple client programs and abstract submissions as well as CME material collection and the development of a conference app (as required by client).

Position Responsibilities

Essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Actively support the Program Chair/Committee of multiple clients in the development and implementation of CME programs.
  • Coordinate the collection, preparation and distribution of program materials and resources (i.e. presentations, evaluations, agendas, handouts, etc.) using abstract management and/or speaker management platforms.
  • Manage and implement correspondence including the Call for Topics, Call for Abstracts and associated processes.
  • Serve as staff liaison for all program faculty (speakers, moderators, abstract presenters, etc.) to include program invites, acceptances/declines, collection of CME required material.
  • Determine the CME credit count for all activities, create certificates and transcripts as required.
  • Development and coordination of the Conference App as needed.


Minimum of three years’ experience, preferably in a medical/physician association.

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.
  • Strong computer skills required, including expertise with Microsoft suite of software: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with volunteer leaders.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, including editing and proofing.
  • Experience working with AMS & Abstract Management Systems.
  • Experience with Cadmium Abstract, Speaker Management, and ACCME requirements is preferred
  • Excellent project management skills for managing multiple client programs and abstract submissions, CME material collection and the development of a conference app (as required by client). while meeting deadlines.
